About J.M. Bilal

The man who turned market losses into a movement

J.M. Bilal is the CEO of ShareWealth — one of India's most respected names in stock market education and investment advisory. He took the role in February 2026, bringing with him two decades of trading experience and a track record of mentoring 5,000+ investors across India.

What sets Bilal apart is not just his success, but the road he took to get there. He entered the markets at 17, made early gains, then lost everything by 19. Rather than walking away, he did something unusual for a teenager — he sat down and studied why he failed.

By 22, he had cracked the market — and was consistently profitable. But what struck him was not just his own success. It was the sheer number of people around him losing money for entirely preventable reasons. He saw a gap: most retail investors were not failing because of bad luck, they were failing because nobody had ever properly taught them how the market actually works. That realisation is what drove him into mentorship.

The Journey

From ₹5,000 to 5,000+ investors

Every number in this business has a story behind it.

17

The Beginning

Bilal borrowed ₹5,000 from his mother and opened his first trading account. No formal training. No mentor. Just curiosity and confidence — the two most dangerous things a beginner can have in the markets.

19

The Loss

He lost everything. His family urged him to take a government job and leave the market alone. But instead of accepting defeat, he made a different choice — to understand the failure completely before taking another step.

22

Cracked the Market. Then Chose to Teach.

After years of disciplined self-study and backtesting, Bilal cracked the market and became consistently profitable. He could have stopped there. Instead, looking at the investors around him — losing money for entirely avoidable reasons — he made a deliberate choice: to fill the gap that had almost finished him at 19. He launched JBIS Securities not as a fallback, but as a mission. Most people fail the market because nobody taught them properly. He was going to fix that.

J.M. Bilal's Approach

Build it right. Then build it big.

Bilal's approach to entrepreneurship is shaped by what he learned the hard way — that ambition without the right foundation is just expensive optimism. He had the drive at 17. What changed everything was learning how to channel it properly.

His mentorship for founders rests on three principles: validate the idea before you scale it, build operations that survive the founder stepping back, and treat every rupee of capital like it was borrowed from someone you respect.

"Most founders don't fail because of a bad idea. They fail because nobody showed them what to do with a good one." — J.M. Bilal

Bilal works with founders before they scale — helping them avoid the structural mistakes that only become visible when it's too late to fix cheaply.

Every mentorship engagement is specific to the founder's stage — not a generic playbook, but real feedback on real decisions.

He draws on experience across four sectors — education, healthcare, real estate, and business leadership — to give founders perspective that a single-domain mentor cannot.

"What I respect about Bilal's mentorship is that he doesn't just give you frameworks — he asks you the uncomfortable questions. Why are you building this? Who exactly is paying for it? Those questions forced me to build something real instead of something that just sounded good."
